October 2020 Newsletter

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Terry Fox Run this year! We were able to beat our goal and raise $325 for the Terry Fox Foundation. We were able to get each resident out for a lap around the building in the beautiful weather! A big thank you to our volunteers and staff who came to help us with the walks.

Our Grandparents Day craft was a big success and they are now all up on display in our resident’s rooms! Thank you to everyone that participated – it brought a lot of smiles to everyone’s faces!

We have been working on a very special project for the home: a barn quilt! Our Activity Department and Resident Council have been working together to design and paint the barn quilt which will be displayed out in front of home when it is done, hopefully in the coming weeks!

Please remember to call Activities to notify us if you plan to do a window visit. There have been multiple instances of window visits taking place where physical distancing is not happening. Please call ahead so we can ensure the safety of all residents and staff in the home.

Don’t forget – you must wear a mask AT ALL TIMES on the property.

Due to the pandemic we are unable to host our semi-annual Family Council Information Session. At this time we do not have a formal Family Council in place. If you are interested in leading or joining a Family Council, please contact Tracey Maxim.

Please visit our website frequently for the most up to date information. If you are not on our email list and wish to receive updates via email, please notify Brittany.
