Changes to Isolation Procedures

Good Afternoon Friends & Families,

We have made some changes to our isolation procedures for “Short Stay” absences. Moving forward, if a resident takes a leave of absence that is not overnight (for example, a medical appointment) they will no longer need to self-isolate when they return to the home. They will still be expected to wear a mask when out in the community and be screened when they return.

If they stay overnight or are admitted to hospital (“Temporary” absences) they will still be required to self-isolate for 14 days.

If your loved one is planning on going on an LOA, you must contact the Nursing Department in advance to schedule and arrange the LOA.

Please contact the home if you have any questions.
