Terry Fox Run

Each year our home participates in the Terry Fox Run. Just as we have done in previous years, each resident will have the opportunity to be sponsored. If you would like to donate you can do this at www.terryfox.ca/fairfieldpark. To sponsor a specific resident please see activities!

Our residents will all take part in the event on Thursday September 16, 2021.

In keeping with the most current recommendations issues by Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health announced on August 17, 2021, our residents at Fairfield Park are eligible to receive a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine. This immunization will provide your family member with an additional layer of protection against the COVID-19 variants including Delta. Evidence shows that the immune response in long-term care home residents wanes several months after receiving the two COVID-19 vaccine doses placing them at an increased vulnerability for infection. This third COVID-19 vaccine will help protect from waning antibody levels and support resident immunity during the Delta surge of the pandemic fourth wave. A new COVID-19 Vaccine Consent form is attached for signature by the resident’s POA. Please sign and return this consent form at your earliest convenience (or by September 15, 2021). Return may be done electronically or by dropping of the signed Consent form at Fairfield Park. A supporting Ontario Ministry of Health vaccine information document is available upon request. If you require assistance or have any questions please call Candace Lefebvre at 519-627-1663 ext. 113

All visits must be scheduled, at this time we are not allowing walk in visits. We ask that you go online at www.fairfieldpark.ca and book a visit or call the Activity Department to book a visit.
Thank you for your cooperation.

REMINDER: MEDICAL MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE VISITING YOUR LOVED ONE!
