We are pleased to let everyone know that our COVID-19 outbreak has been declared over, effective today!!
Although we are very excited about this news, we know COVID-19 remains a significant risk in our community and the province is locking down many regions in Ontario, including Chatham-Kent, to minimize further spread. We ask that everyone remain diligent over the holiday season to minimize further spread of COVID-19.
Moving forward, the following protocols are in place:
- No general visitors will be permitted on the premises.
- One Essential Caregiver Visitor may continue to visit a resident, in the home, if the visit has been approved. They must follow all infection prevention and control protocols that are in place.
- Residents will only be able to leave the home for essential absences (i.e. medical appointments) and are to wear a face mask when they are absent from the home and follow physical distancing protocols, as per Public Health directives.
- COVID-19 testing will need to be done weekly. All Essential Caregiver Visitors will need to provide evidence of a negative covid-19 test result that has been done within the prior week of their visit and verbally attest to not subsequently testing positive. All staff will be getting tested weekly, as well.
