October Newsletter

Fairfield Park is committed to providing the safest and most home-like environment for our residents. As an organization, we have decided that effective November 15, 2021   all Staff, Volunteers, Agency Staff and Support Workers entering our home must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  We have implemented this policy to protect our residents, staff, volunteers and support workers, as well as to reduce the need for isolation and disruption of daily activities that result from outbreak restrictions.

Immunization is widely recognized as one of the most effective interventions for reducing the impact of infectious diseases. For more information about the COVID -19 vaccine please go to the following link: https://www.publichealthontario.ca/en/diseases-and-conditions/infectious-diseases/respiratory-diseases/novel-coronavirus/vaccines

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Terry Fox Run this year! We were able to meet our goal and raise $200.00 for the Terry Fox Foundation. We were able to get each resident out for a lap around the building in the beautiful weather! A big thank you to our volunteers and staff who came to help us with the walks.

Please remember to call Activities or book online to notify us if you plan to come and visit, whether inside or outside. There have been multiple instances of visitors coming to the home without making an appointment. Please call ahead so we can ensure the safety of all residents and staff in the home.

Don’t forget – you must wear a mask AT ALL TIMES on the property.

We continue to notify families through our email list.  If you are not on our email list and wish to receive updates via email, please notify Stephanie North at stephanien@fairfieldpark.ca.

Candace Lefebvre, our Director of Care is taking a parental leave of absence commencing October 4, 2021.  Many of you are familiar with Richelle Lucier, our Assistant Director of Care. We ask that you direct any questions or concerns you may have regarding resident care to Richelle at richellel@fairfieldpark.ca.
