Several residents enjoyed a morning at the Dresden Casino in February. A few came home with winnings and the rest made a donation, but a good time was had by all.
Resident council also supplied a Burns Broasted Chicken Supper for all on Valentine’s Day.
Congratulations to Theresa Gustin who was the winner of the 50/50 draw in February.
March brings a special St. Patty’s Day party. We will also have the Stations of the Cross to celebrate Easter.
There are several other outings and musical entertainers booked in March. See the calendar for all dates.
If you or anyone you know is interested in Volunteering at Fairfield Park, please see Sherry in Activities. There are many things our Volunteers can do that are both helpful to the residents and rewarding for themselves. For example, our Volunteers can assist with various programs such as bingo, assistance on shopping trips, birthday cards, our ice cream cart, cleaning eyeglasses, palliative care and one on one visits, only to name a few.
We would like to express our gratitude to all family members who have made a donation in memory of a loved one to our Memorial Garden. These funds keep this garden in bloom for all to enjoy.
With Easter upon us, I would like to remind families to not bring in Lillies for the residents. There are several staff with allergies to this particular flower.
Canquest who is an alternate phone service available at Fairfield Park, is in the process of putting their equipment in and should be up and running shortly. There is a great cost savings compared to Bell and you keep your same phone number. If interested please call Joanne.
We will be switching from “Attends” incontinence products to “Prevail”, which is made by a company called First Quality. We expect the transition to occur over the next month or two. Please watch the Resident/Family bulletin board for more details & an introductory letter from First Quality about their products.
